Gainesville Living Room is a quilted abstraction of a drawing I made while traveling with my family. This piece explores ideas of memory and recollection, and makes use of bright, saturated colors and the distortion of perspective to capture the abstract and shifting nature of memory through time. Technically, I was exploring the scales and textures of the materials to create perspective and a sense of retreating space.
